  • Definition and Structure

    • Definition: A circular conveyor belt is a flat conveyor belt that is formed into a loop through vulcanized joints or other processing methods. During the manufacturing process, it can also be directly produced as a seamless circular conveyor belt.

    • Structure: The core layer of conveyor belts is typically made from high-quality all-cotton, cotton-viscose blended canvas, or materials such as nylon, EP polyester, NN, and EE. The number of layers usually ranges from 2 to 8. In addition, the belt includes an upper cover rubber and a lower cover rubber. Some specially designed, highly abrasion-resistant circular sidewall conveyor belts are also equipped with transverse rigid layers.

    Features

    • Stable operation: The belt core has no splices, or the splice strength can reach up to 90% of the belt body’s strength; the surface shows no obvious splice defects; tension is uniform, operation is smooth, and elongation at break is low.

    • Powerful conveying capability: It can handle conveyance at large inclinations, even vertical conveyance at 90°, with high throughput and effectively preventing material spillage. It can smoothly transition between horizontal and inclined conveying sections.

    • Wide range of applications: Depending on customer requirements, we can produce various types of products, including standard models, heat-resistant models (up to 180℃), cold-resistant models (not lower than -40℃), acid- and alkali-resistant models, high-temperature-resistant models (not higher than 200℃), and hygienic models, suitable for different working environments.

    • Powerful customization capabilities: Based on different conveying requirements—such as conveying distance, conveying capacity, and material characteristics—we can customize annular conveyor belts with varying specifications and performance levels to meet the demands of a wide range of special operating conditions.

    Working principle

    The motor drives the drive roller via a reducer. Friction is generated between the roller and the conveyor belt, enabling the circular conveyor belt to keep running continuously. The material is conveyed to the discharge point by means of the frictional engagement with the conveyor belt.

    Joint method

    • Direct vulcanization into a circular belt: The conveyor belt is directly vulcanized into a circular shape during the manufacturing process, ensuring excellent integrity and high joint strength.

    • Retain the unprocessed ends during vulcanization: During use, the joint is vulcanized by heating and pressurizing as required, allowing flexible adjustment of the joint’s position and timing.

    • On-site bonding with adhesives: The procedure is relatively simple, but it places high demands on the performance of the adhesive.

    Use

    • Industrial Production: In mining, metallurgy, construction, and other industries, it is used to transport bulk materials such as ores, coal, and sand and gravel. In mechanical manufacturing, automobile production, and other factories, it is employed for the assembly and handling of components, enabling automated production processes and enhancing productivity.

    • Logistics and Transportation: At ports and terminals, it is used for loading, unloading, and transshipping goods—for example, moving containers from cargo ships to storage yards. In warehouses and logistics centers, it is employed for sorting and conveying goods, connecting different operational areas to ensure the rapid flow of merchandise.

    • Agricultural sector: In grain processing plants, it is used for conveying and processing grains such as wheat and rice; on farms, it is used for transporting feed and manure.

    • Commercial applications: In automated shelving systems at supermarkets and shopping malls, it is used for restocking and displaying merchandise; in airport baggage handling systems, it is employed for transporting and sorting luggage, ensuring that passengers’ bags are delivered to their destinations accurately and swiftly.

    • Food and Pharmaceutical Industries: In food manufacturing enterprises, it is used for packaging and conveying foods such as candies and beverages; in pharmaceutical manufacturing enterprises, it is used for packaging and conveying pharmaceutical products as well as handling raw materials. Hygienic-grade annular conveyor belts can meet the stringent hygiene and safety requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries.

    Precautions for Use

    Avoid covering the rollers with materials, prevent the conveyor belt from starting under load, promptly correct any misalignment, repair localized damage, and prevent blockages in the conveyor belt.
